WHO IS GOD?

God is much more than we can conceive but for the purpose of this study

He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
He is the I AM, meaning He is everything that you need Him to be in your life.
He is the Alpha and the Omega.  He has no beginning and no ending.
He is the Most High who is higher than every power, personality or situation.
          He is the Great Physician.
          He is the Great Provider.
          He is the Great Shepherd.
          He is limitless.
His ways and His thoughts are not ours but much higher. Isaiah 55:8-9.
He is the Creator of all things.
He has great plans for us. Jeremiah 29:11.
He desires the best for us.  3 John 1:2.
All power on earth and in heaven belongs to Him. Matthew 28:18.
          He can never fail.
He can never lie. Numbers 23:19.
He can never change. Malachi 3:6.
He is beyond human reasoning or logic.
All things are possible with Him. Nothing is impossible to Him.  Luke 1:37.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIMIT GOD?

      1.    It is to refuse to believe what God says that you are.
u    2.  It is to believe that you are unable to do what God has instructed you to do.
      3.  You can limit God in what He can do for you.
      4.    You can also limit Him in what He can do through you.
      5.    You limit God when you challenge His word, instructions, and assignments.
      6.    You Limit God by questioning His words, verdicts, and decisions. Psalm 78:41.
      7.    When you doubt Him or His servants. When you do not take Him at His words.
      8.    It is relegating God to the background in your life, decision making, and other areas.
.
PRAYERS

         1.   I refuse to be my own worst enemy
         2.   O Lord, if I am my own worst enemy, by your mercy help me Lord.

HOW DO WE LIMIT GOD?
  1.   Unbelief (Matthew 13:58; Mark 9:23; Luke 1:45.)
  2.    Disobedience for example the young prophet disobeyed God and died
  3.    Fear
  4.   Laziness
  5.   Immaturity. This is why Paul said that a child cannot inherit until he becomes a man
  6.    Selfishness
  7.   Working by sight rather than faith
  8.   Doubt
  9.   Failure to heed God’s warning
  10.   Laziness in seeking God in prayers
  11.   By playing the role that only God can play in our lives
  12.  Failure to crucify the flesh. By working in the flesh instead of in the Spirit.

WHY DO WE LIMIT GOD?
  1. ignorance Hosea 4:6
  2. Stupidity
  3. Rebellion and disobedience
  4.  Fear
  5. Pride
  6. "Grasshopper" mentality which is made up of lack of self confidence and low self esteem. Numbers 13:33.
  7.  Accepting a standard which is below God’s standard for your life
  8. Relying on your own strength
  9. Wanting to please men rather than God.  1 Samuel 13:7-14.

CONSEQUENCES OF LIMITING GOD
  1. Demotion
  2. Dissatisfaction
  3. Disappointment
  4. Divine judgment
  5. Disaster
  6. Cannot come into the rest of God
  7. Lack of peace
  8. Questioning God leads to trouble. For example Pharaoh, Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, and Nebuchadnezzar.

SYMPTOMS THAT YOU ARE LIMITING GOD
  1.   Make decisions out of fear
  2.  Still believe as a Christian that anything is impossible to you
  3.  Moving by sight rather than by faith
  4. Waiting for things to be moving smoothly before you become part of it
  5. Always making God look small and the devil big when problems come
  6.  Refusing to take risks that will lead to your progress
  7. Putting more confidence in man than God
  8. Have more confidence in the natural than in the supernatural

WAY FORWARD

1.    Repent from and deal with sin and rebellion
2.    Watch your mouth
3.    Banish impossibility from your mind. Luke 1:37; Matthew 19:26.
4.    Guard your mind. Remember it is garbage in, garbage out. Philippians 4:8.
5.    Carry out regular spiritual check-up
6.    Make positive confessions daily
7.   Pray and fast regularly

Songs: 1. Greater than all my problems, greater than anything 2. Jehovah, you

are the Most High 3. Higher, higher, higher, lift my Jesus higher

1.    Confess all your sins of limiting God through unbelief, rebellion, doubt, etc.

4.    I receive power from above to fulfill my divine agenda, in the name of Jesus.
5.    O Lord stir the fire of the Holy Spirit in my spirit now, in the name of Jesus.
6.    O Lord let great deliverance begin to take place in my life now.
7.    Now ask God for a very big thing that is really big or humanly impossible for you to do in your own power.
8.    Tell the Lord the specific time that the miracle should manifest.
9.    Let the world glorify God because of the name of Jesus in my life, in the name of Jesus
10. The enemy will not change my right hand to my left, in the name of Jesus.
