Every “follow follow” power
following me around, fall down and die.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO FULFILL YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE?
God has an
agenda for everything which He has created, including human beings. God lives in heaven but His agenda is to be
carried out on earth. God has an idea or
a need that He wants to do on earth and with this in mind He creates a person
to carry out that assignment for Him. Therefore,
every human being has a divine purpose to fulfill earth.
“I
know the thoughts that I have towards you.
They are thoughts of good and not of evil to prosper you.” Jeremiah 29:11.
God had a divine
plan and an expected end for our lives before we were even conceived in our
mother’s wombs. Jeremiah 1:5. In the book
of Jeremiah, God said to Jeremiah, the prophet.
“Before
I formed you in your mother’s womb I knew you and I ordained you as a prophet
to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
God has His
divine calendar and has ordained a set time and a season for everything under
the sun. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4. The problem is that the enemy also has a plan
for your life and seeks to impose his plan over God’s plan. He delights in rewriting destinies from how
God ordained them, particularly glorious ones. John 10:10, 1 Peter 5:8. He wants your life to align with his evil
agenda and to fulfill his satanic purpose
and not God’s
“Fulfil” means
to actualize God’s divine plans and agenda for your life here on earth. It is to manifest the fullness of God for
your life. Romans 8:19. Fulfill means
to bring to pass on earth what is written concerning you in heaven. It is to bring to pass on earth the
expectations of heaven for your life as seen in the scripture below.
“Thy
kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10.
It is our duty
and our honor to prayerfully find out the purpose for which God has created
us. Proverbs
25:2. Therefore, we should find out our specific assignments that He has
sent us here to carry out for Him on earth and then with diligence fulfill it.
In this teaching
you will learn how to find out your divine purpose and also how to fulfill
it. You will also learn the pitfalls to
avoid in doing this.
WHAT CAN PREVENT YOU FROM FULFILLING YOUR DIVINE
PURPOSE?
There
are several factors that can prevent us from fulfilling our God ordained
assignments here on earth. These are
discussed below.
1. Faulty Foundation. If your foundation is not strong it will be
impossible for it to support you to fulfill your divine purpose. Ancestral powers, foundational strongmen,
witchcraft power and household wickedness powers will all gang up and ensure
that you do not carry out your purpose.
2. Unbroken curses and covenants.
3. Unfriendly friends. Proverbs
23:4. Evil association corrupts good manners the Bible says. 1 Corinthians
15:33. Forming evil association
with God’s enemies can truncate colorful destinies. We see this in the lives of King Solomon and
Samson in the Bible.
4. Internal stumbling blocks. These include anger, jealousy, pride,
covetousness, and greed. Greed prevented
Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, from fulfilling his divine destiny. 2
Kings 5:20-27.
5. Laziness. It takes hard work to fulfill divine purpose.
6. Lack of wisdom. Wisdom is the ability what you know in
addressing the issues of life. Wisdom is
the principal thing in life. Proverbs
4:7. If we want to fulfill divine
purpose we should pray for it and get it. James
1:5.
7. Rebellion and disobedience. This is what wasted the lives of Samson and
King Saul and prevented them from fulfilling their divine purpose. Judges 16:1-36, 1 Samuel 15:23
8. Wrong marriage. Samson and King Solomon
did not fulfill divine purpose because of marriage to strange women that
derailed their destiny. Judges 14:1-3. 1 King 11:1-11.
9. Unbelief. 2
Chronicles 20:20.
This
the inability of believing words spoken by God directly, through His written
word, and through His prophets. The
Israelites under Moses suffered from this and it prevented them from reaching
their destination. Matthew 13:58, Luke 1:45.
Say:
I will reach my goal in the name of
Jesus.
10. Discouragement and Frustration. These are weapons that the devil employs
often to steal from God’s people and to make them to turn back and not reach
their God ordained destination. God is
quite aware of this hence all over the Bible He encourages His people with
words of encouragement such as the verse below:
“Have not I commanded thee? Be
strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.
The
best way to fight discouragement is to encourage yourself in the Lord like
David did when his enemies took his family captive and his followers threatened
to stone him to death. 1 Samuel 30:3-8. There are various ways
of doing this.
One
is to dig into the word of God and meditate on scriptures that pertains to what
you are going through to receive hope and encouragement. Another is to do what Paul and Silas did in
their midnight hour which was to praise and worship God. Acts 16:25-26. Yet another is to pray and ask God for the
way out of the situation. When you do these
three things mentioned here, discouragement flees.
PRAYERS
1.
Every arrow of discouragement fired
into my life, jump out and go back to your sender.
2.
By the power in the blood of Jesus,
I refuse to be frustrated in life.
11. Prayerlessness.
To fulfill your divine purpose you have to engage in organized, fervent,
and effective prayers and fasting. You
should also do spiritual warfare daily. James 5:16, Colossians 4:12.
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a
servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers,
that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” Colossians 4:12.
12. Slumber.
This is a spirit which is made up of two other spirits which are spiritual
blindness and spiritual deafness. Romans 11:8.
13. Fear. Fear prevented the Israelites from entering
the land that God had promised to bring them into. Numbers
14:20-24.
PRAYER: I bind and cast out the
spirit of fear from every area of my life in the name of Jesus.
14. Lack of discipline. It brought divine judgment on King
Solomon. It made Samson to die with his
enemies.
15. Ignorance.
This includes ignorance of the glorious inheritance that we have in
Christ Jesus. Also, it includes ignorance of the precious promises that we have
as Christians.
16. Envy and jealousy. This made Korah, Dathan, and Abiram to lose
their lives and ministries. Psalm 106:16-18.
17.
Sickness and infirmity.
18. Untimely death.
Samson died before his time. So
did Saul and Judas.
Prayer: I declare by the power in
the blood of Jesus that I shall not die but live to declare the works of God, in
the mighty name of Jesus.
19. Bad luck.
PRAYERS
1.
I violently uproot every tree of bad luck
planted in my life by the enemy, in the name of Jesus.
2.
I use the token of the blood of
Jesus to blot out all the hand writings of ordinances of bad luck working
against my life, in the name of Jesus.
3.
Every strongman of bad luck attached
to my life, fall down and die, in the mighty name of Jesus.
20.
Judging and speaking against men and women of God.
Miriam,
Moses’s sister, ended up with leprosy and did not fulfil her divine purpose as
a result of this. Numbers 12:1-15. It is in
your own interest to allow God to judge His own servants.
21. Not guarding your heart and
mind.
You
have to filter what you allow in because it is garbage in garbage out. Philippians 4:8.
ENEMIES OF FULFILLING
YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE
These are various powers that can make you
fail to fulfill your God given purpose. These
powers include:
1. Foundational
powers. These include ancestral powers, evil powers
of father’s house, collective captivity, and familiar spirits.
Prayer: Every power from my
foundation working against my fulfilling my divine purpose, fall down and die.
2.
Star Gazers.
Prayer: O Lord, where the stars have
been programmed to disturb my destiny manifest by fire.
3.
Sorcerers.
These are hired
against you. Acts 8:9. Examples are Obeah
men, Marabou, witch doctors, voodoo men, priest in marine powered churches such
as white garment.
Prayer: every Balaam hired against
my life, fail and die after the order of Balaam.
4. Witchcraft
powers. Witches and wizards. 2 Chronicle 33:6; Exodus 22:18; Deuteronomy 18:10. These are in the
churches, schools, work places. There is
a proliferation of them everywhere. They use evil embargoes, judgments, sanctions,
decrees, verdicts, demonic cobwebs, satanic delay and other weapons to carry
out their evil assignment.
PRAYER: Every witchcraft agenda for
my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Evil
Authority figures. These include parents, spouses, pastors,
bosses, and teachers.
6.
Diviners. They “prophesy” but not by the Holy
Spirit but by evil spirits. Acts 16:16.
7. Satanic intermediaries including the following:
a. Enchanters.
b. People that have familiar spirit. 1 Samuel 28: 2 Chronicle 33:6.
c. Occult people.
d. Psychics and magicians who use
strange mirrors and burn incense and candles.
8. Household wickedness powers
These
include the evil powers of your father’s house, the evil powers of your
mother’s house, and family strongmen. It
also includes polygamous witchcraft.
PRAYERS
1.
Every agenda of household wickedness
powers to rearrange my divine purpose, fail and die, in the name of Jesus.
2.
Household wickedness powers polluting
my divine destiny, fall down and die.
9. Satanic
broadcasters.
PRAYERS
1.
Let God arise and let every enemy of
my fulfilling my divine purpose scatter unto desolation, in the name of Jesus.
2.
I overrule every satanic sanction
opposing my fulfilling my divine purpose.
WHY SHOULD YOU FULFILL YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE?
1. To
Prevent Destiny Wastage
Not fulfilling your divine purpose
is tantamount to coming to this world in vain.
It is better not to have been born.
It means you are a “born for nothing.” Repeat the following after me:
1.
I will draw my name from the book of
born for nothing, in the name of Jesus.
2.
I will not come to this world in
vain.
3.
I reject and refuse every label of
“born for nothing
2.
Active Pursuit Of Destiny Preserves
Lives
Your purpose will preserve your life
if you are actively fulfilling it. When you fail to fulfill your divine
purpose, you can be cut down at any time.
Your life is at the risk of physical and spiritual death. We can see this from the example of the fig
tree provided in the Bible. Luke 13:7.
Say at the top of your voice:
1.
I refuse to be cut down.
2.
I shall fulfill my divine purpose in
the name of Jesus.
3.
Divine Timing Is Important To God
The need that God has created you to
fulfill has a time element attached to it.
It is not to be done at your leisure, but at God’s appointed time.
“For
the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not
lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not
tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3.
God wants us to properly use our
time. This is because the Bible clearly
says that for everything under the sun there is a divine timing. Ecclesiastes 3:1-3.
Our Lord Jesus had just three years
to fulfill His divine purpose. There is
a time element attached to fulfilling our divine purpose. Jesus cursed the fig tree that failed to
fulfill its divine purpose of producing fruits at the appointed time and it
died. Mark 11:13-14, 21.
PRAYERS
1.
Lord, plug me into Your divine
calendar, in the name of Jesus.
2.
My Father, let me walk in Your
timing, in the name of Jesus.
3.
I reject every satanic calendar for
my life and I set it on fire.
4.
I shall reach my destination at the
appointed time, in the name of Jesus.
4. God Takes The Fulfillment Of Divine Purpose Very Seriously
We should take God’s purpose for our
lives and fulfilling it very seriously because God does. Jonah failed to realize this and ended up
spending three days in the belly of the whale before learning his lesson.
Jonah 1:17. Apostle Peter who
abandoned his assignment of fishing for men and it took an encounter with the
risen Christ to bring him to order. John 21:11-21. The Apostle Paul went through great
tribulations and afflictions to fulfill his divine purpose. At the end, see what he says about it:
“I
have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto
all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
5. God Does Not Want His Resources Wasted
This includes time, anointing,
wisdom, wealth, talents, virtues, or whatever He has endowed you with to
fulfill your divine purpose. God’s does
not want His resources tied down. If you
do not use it you lose it as He takes it from you and gives it to someone else.
God will replace you with someone else after cautioning you for a while and
trying to work with you but to no avail.
Proverb 29:1. The parable of the fig tree is a very good
illustration of this. It was giving a
grace period to produce fruits and fulfill its divine purpose or be cut down. Luke 13:7. Another example is the unprofitable servant
that buried his talent rather than investing it and allowing it to produce
interest. He was rebuked and
punished. Matthew
25:24-30.
6. God Wants To Be Glorified Through You Lives
God wants our lives to show case His
greatness and through this bring Him glory.
He wants our lives to show forth His praise and His glory.
“This
people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” Isaiah 43:21.
7. Many Destinies Are Attached To Yours
Many destinies are attached to your
destiny. They are all lined up to
benefit and have their destinies propelled forward by your success. If you fail they too will fail.
Timothy may never have fulfilled his
divine purpose without Apostle Paul accomplishing his.
8. God Rewards Faithfulness And Dedication
God’s reward for faithfulness is
great:
“His
lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been
faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou
into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:23.
God said to Israelites that He had
not asked them to serve Him in vain. Isaiah 45:19, Malachi 3:14. He not only expects faithfulness in His
servants, but He also rewards faithfulness mightily. Luke
16:12.
He is not ready to accept any excuse
for failure in this area for that matter.
Luke 16:10.
9. Divine Judgment Of The Saints
The Bible tells us that God is
consuming fire. Hebrew
12:29. It also says that to
whom God has deposited a much, He also expects much in return. Luke
12:47-48. We will be judged and rewarded according to how we use what was deposited in us.
For example the teacher will judged with a higher standard than those
that he taught.
10. It Determines Where We Will Spend Eternity
You should do all that is in your
power to fulfill your divine purpose because it can make the difference between
ending up in heaven and ending up in hell.
Matthew 25:41-46. How we handle our divine assignments here
on earth will determine whether we go to heaven or to hell.
“And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:.” Hebrews
9:27.
STEPS TO FULFILL YOUR DIVINE PURPOSE
There
are certain things that you should do if you want to fulfill your divine
purpose. They will to a large extent
ensure that your life stays on target and that you do not make a ship wreck of
your life and destiny. They are as
follows:
1. Plug into a Holy Ghost centered
church.
2. Find out what your divine purpose
is. In doing this:
a. Pray inquiry prayers.
b. Consider you are designed
c. Consider the things you enjoy doing
that bring you fulfillment.
d. Consider how people see you and what
they perceive you to be. Do they see you as a preacher, a nurse, teacher, or a
business man?
e. Let the Holy Spirit have the final
say.
3.
Spend quality time with God
regularly.
If possible look
for a place away from home where you can be with God for three or more days. Jesus did. Spend the time praying, studying the word of
God, praising, worshipping and thanking God.
Write down all that He tells you and date them as they will help you on
your journey of fulfilling your divine purpose.
4.
Engage in spiritual warfare daily
and stay on a prayer program always.
The kingdom of
God suffers violence you have to take it by force. Matthew 11:12.
5. Do regular spiritual checkups to
ensure that your destiny is still on target.
Apostle Paul advised that we check ourselves to see if we are still in
the faith.
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be
in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that
Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 2 Corinthians 13:5.
6. Go
for periodic organized deliverance ministration
This should be
done with well-trained deliverance ministers.
This should be every three to six months or sooner as needed.
7.
Banish impossibility from your mind
Know that you
can do all things through Christ. Also
that with God is the God of all possibilities with whom all things are possible. Luke
1:37.
8.
Watch
your mouth
A loose mouth sinks
war ships and will sink your destiny.
9.
Watch
the company that you keep
Bad company will bury your destiny and prevent you from fulfilling your
destiny.
10.
Study the word of God daily
The more of His
word that you study, the more you get to be like Him in wisdom and other
virtues and attributes.
11.
Plug into the socket of the Almighty
God and stay Connected
You stay
connected through the Holy Spirit. Do
not slumber. The ministry of the Holy
Spirit is imperative in your life if you want to fulfill your divine
purpose. It was in the lives of the
early disciples and is even more so now.
Act 13:2-4. In fact our Lord Jesus asked them to wait for
His infilling before attempting to carry out their divine assignments. Luke
24:49, Act 1:4-5, Acts 2:1-20.
12.
Live a holy and righteous life
13.
Be totally sold out for God and His
assignment for your life
This
will ensure that you always have His support and backing always.
14.
Be available and be ready in and out
of season
Availability is very important to
God. So also is readiness. If He says leave everything and go for
prayers do so. If He says leave the
United States and live in a village in Africa for three years doing His work you
should obediently do so with joy.
In my own life there are many things
that He has done for me simply because as He told me I was available and
ready. In some cases He said He had
wanted to give various work to certain men and women of God but they were not
available. (Please see my book, “Are you
available.”)
15.
Remember that prayer is the master
key in all of these
Stay
prayed and fasted up.
PRAYER:
By the power in the blood of Jesus, I shall fulfill my divine purpose, in the
name of Jesus.
PRAYERS
Song: 1. The God that answereth by
fire let him be my God
2. I will reach my goal.
1. I
refuse to live below God’s divine standard for my life.
2. Demoting
powers of my father’s house, your time is up, die by fire.
3. Demoting
powers of my mother’s house, your time is up, die by fire, in the name of
Jesus.
4. Every
power assigned to turn my life upside down, lose your hold and die.
5. Every
hidden sickness in my body, be uprooted by fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. O
Lord, anoint my eyes, hands and legs to locate my divine purpose.
7.
Every damage done to my destiny, be repaired by the blood of Jesus.
8. I will fulfill my divine purpose, in the name
of Jesus.
9. O
Lord, stretch forth your hand from heaven and take me from where I am to where
you want me to be in the name of Jesus.
10. Any power saying that I will not reach my
goal, you are a liar, die.
11. Every
satanic animal programmed into my life to prevent me from fulfilling my divine
purpose. Come out and die. (Name the
animals – snail, turtle, snake, millipede, lizard, and crocodile.)
12. I
shall reach my destination at the appointed time, in the name of Jesus.
