INTRODUCTION

God’s mercy is full of mercy and compassion for His children. The mercy of God is the goodness of God. God’s grace cannot be separated from His mercy and love. Isaiah 60:10.His mercy cannot be separated from God’s other attribute of grace. The Bible teaches us that: God’s mercy is obtained in the presence of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Philippians 3:13.

WHO NEEDS THIS TEACHING?

Today’s teaching and exhortation is for you if you are currently facing challenges, doubts, rejection, neglect, fears and phobias, despise, struggles, downturns, bad-luck, insecurities, other negative things. It is for:

1. It is for anyone who is looking up to God for upliftment.

2. It is for anyone here who is going through a wilderness experience and wondering if He will ever get out of it.

3. It is for anyone that is feeling despondent and as if he or she has reached the end of the road.

WHAT DOES GOD’S MERCY DO FOR YOU?

1.   God’s mercy turns a rejected person into the accepted and beloved.

2.   God’s mercy turns levels insurmountable obstacles turning them into stepping stones for greatness.

3.   God’s mercy turns a nonentity into the cornerstone of a family or community.

4.   That God will have mercy on whom He chooses to have mercy. Exodus 33:19.

5.   The mercy of God is God’s kindness in action. Psalm 51:1.

6.   God’s mercy secures our pardon from the wages of sin which is death. Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 15:10, Ephesians 2:4-5.

7.   Mercy obtains for us help the time of need. Hebrews 4:15-17.

8.   Mercy is not dependent on our ability or strength but God’s grace. Romans 9:16.

9.   Mercy is not earned but granted by God’s grace alone. Hebrews 4:16. 

HOW DOES GOD’S MERCY MANIFESTS?

God’s mercy manifests in various ways:

1.   God’s mercy manifest in His salvation plan for the redemption of man back to Himself. After all, He created man for His own pleasure!

2.   God’s mercy manifests in His forgiveness and His pardoning of our sins and iniquities.  Numbers 14:19, Proverbs 28:13.

3.   God’s mercy manifests in his sending us Jesus as a man to live in our midst so that He can be an example to us as to how to live the Kingdom life.

4.   God’s mercy manifested in Jesus coming as a man so that He will be a High Priest that understands our infirmities and our human frailties and weaknesses. Hebrew 4:15.

5.   The mercy of God is God’s kindness in action. Psalm 51:1.

6.   God’s mercy secures our pardon from the wages of sin which is death. Romans 6:23, 1 Corinthians 15:10, Ephesians 2:4-5.

TO WHOM DOES GOD SHOW HIS MERCY?

God showers His mercy on the following groups of people:

1.   Those that know Him and have become His friends.  Proverbs 3:1-4.

2.   Those that obey His word and keep His commandments.  Psalm 25:10, Exodus 20:6.

3.   Those that are willing to forgive and show mercy to others. Matthew 5:7.

4.   The righteous. 1 Kings 3:6.

5.   Those that are willing to let go of the baggage from the past and move forward. Philippians 3:13.

6.   Those that have faith in God and totally depend on Him. Not one leg in, one leg out. Psalm 32:10.

7.   Those that fear God. Luke 1:50, Psalm 103:11.

8.   The just such as Noah in the Bible. Genesis 6:9.

9.   God’s servants that walk holy before Him.  

BENEFITS OF GOD’S MERCY

:

1. God’s mercy purges our sins and iniquities.  Proverbs 3:1-4.
2. God’s mercy brings favor with men and with God.  Genesis 39:21.
3. Victory over unfavorable circumstances and men. Psalm 59:10, 136:24.
4. God’ faithfulness and preservation. Job 10:12.
5. Opens the heavens over a person’s life so that prayers are answered and blessings abound. Luke 1:30-32.
6. Affords new beginnings and new things. Psalm 32:10.
7. Brings honor and glory. Psalm 89:24.
8. Keeps you from falling. Genesis 6:9.
9. Restoration. Joel 2:25.

INTRODUCTION

Seed must die to bring forth new life. John 12:24-26, 1 Corinthians 15:35-38. At baptism, we as Christians die and rise in Christ Jesus. In dying and rising with Him, there is a quickening of our mortal bodies.

At Resurrection, Jesus manifested His glory.  Human laws could not bind Him.  Jesus Himself died and resurrected on the third day having obtained the Key of death and Hell from the devil and his cohorts.  All power in heaven and earth were given to Him. Jesus has delegated to Christians this power. Matthew 28:18-20. As born again, renewed children of the Most High God, God expects us to work in the Resurrection power of our Lord Jesus Christ.  We have Resurrection power of God working inside of us. Philippians 3:10. The whole world is waiting for us to manifest it and bring glory to God like Jesus did when Lazarus died.  Romans 8:19. Lord Jesus, is the Resurrection and the Life.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26.  

Therefore, He is the only one that can say, “This sickness is not unto death.” John 11: He is the way, the life and the Truth.  The Zoe life of God lives in Him and through Him in us. This Resurrection power that is in Christ Jesus, which also resides in us through Him, is not restricted by the timetable and calendar of man.  This is why Jesus waited for four days after Lazarus had died before showing up.

No matter what situation the enemy brings our way, the Resurrection power is available today to bring new life out of every bad or dead situation that you are currently going through or will ever go through.  It could be sickness, poverty, faulty foundation, death or what have you. You are not helpless.  Believe the word of God and God will work it out for you. Always remember that Jesus is both the Word of God and the Resurrection and Life.  So believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and His Resurrection power that dwells in you and all shall be well in Jesus name. Say:

1.   I got Resurrection power dwelling and working inside of me of me.

2.   Thank you Lord Jesus for the Resurrection power that dwells in me.  

  WHAT CAN PREVENT US FROM OPERATING IN THE RESURRECTION POWER THAT BELONGS TO US THROUGH JESUS' VICTORY AT THE CROSS

Lord Jesus obtained victory for us over death by rising from the grave on the third day after He died and was buried.  All believers in good standing with God can walk in this resurrection power.  They can also exercise this resurrection power by commanding profitable dead things in their lives and in the lives of others to come alive again.  To do this such born again Christians have to be in good standing with God. What then can prevent Christians from being in good standing with God and cause them to be unable to walk in the resurrection power of our Lord Jesus us.

1. LACK OF USE
When power and any gift for that matter is given to us by God and we do not use it, it leaks (dwindles) and we can eventually lose that gift.
When this happens you may have dreams such as transmission fluid licking from your car, water licking from your bottle, and oil licking from your engine.

2.  CORRUPTION/POLLUTION (2 Peter 2:2-22)
Pollution in any shape or form, will disconnect you from God and His power.  And except you are attached to the Vine (Jesus) you cannot flow in His resurrection power.  The Vine is the source of that power.
The good news is that cleansing and purging is available today through the blood of Jesus and by the fire of the Holy Ghost.

There is redemption through the precious blood of Jesus from every sin and every backsliding.

DO RESTITUTION WHEN NECESSARY
 
FORGIVE YOURSELF AND FORGIVE OTHERS THAT OFFEND YOU
Forgive others and ask for forgiveness if you have offended others.
 
ESCHEW WORLDLINESS (1 John 2:15-16).
 It will distract and derail from walking with Christ and His power.
 
GUARD YOUR HEART
This is because out of it flow issues of life and death. (Proverbs 4:23). Not doing so can bring about spiritual and even physical death. 

DO NOT FEAR
No matter the situation do not allow fear keep you from walking in the resurrection power which Jesus died to make available to you.

HOLINESS IS A MAJOR KEY TO WALKING IN POWER AND VICTORY
Be holy even as your Father is holy. 

LIVE A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE TO GOD'S WORD (1 SAMUEL 15:22, LUKE 8:15)

    This includes both written and rhema word from God.

BE WILLING AND AVAILABLE TO CARRY YOUR CROSS DAILY

Jesus willingly went to the cross to fulfill His divine purpose.  A major part of that purpose was to become the Resurrection and the Life for you and me. As a result He became saviour, perfect sacrifice, Great Shepherd, Substitute for us sinners. None of these would have been possible without His willingly going to the Cross for you and me. He fulfilled His destiny because of His willingness to pay the price.  What about you? Are you willing, available and ready to pay the price? I cannot do it for you. No one can do it for you. It is a choice you have to make by yourself just like Jesus did.The deciding moment was when He went beyond Himself and said:

Prayer: O Lord, please help me to fulfill all that you have planned for my life, in the name of Jesus.

ALWAYS PUT GOD AND HIS KINGDOM NEEDS FIRST (MATTHEW 6:33)
You should always put God's purpose and plans before your personal ones just like Lord Jesus did. The deciding moment was when He went beyond His human capacity and willing laid everything down for you and for me saying:
 "Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42.

LIFT UP THE WORD OF GOD IN EVERY SITUATION

TRUST GOD AND TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD
In other words, if He says that resurrection power is available and that you can work in it, do not doubt Him.  Believe what He says and begin to operate in it.

This can corrupt your manners and cause you to backslide from following God and his ways. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)
